Digi-Key Corporation Announces Stock for Tyco Electronics' AMP Mini-CT, AMP CT, and HPI Series Connectors

November 03, 2009 -- THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn., BUSINESS WIRE --

Electronic components distributor Digi-Key Corporation, recognized by design engineers as having the industry's broadest selection of electronic components available for immediate shipment, today announced it has stock for Tyco Electronics' High Performance Interconnect (HPI), AMP Mini-CT, and AMP CT series small pitch (1.0mm to 2.5mm) wire-to-board and wire-to-wire interconnects.

These products are available for purchase on Digi-Key's global websites and will be featured in future print and online catalogs.

The AMP Mini-CT (1.5mm pitch) and AMP CT (2.0mm pitch) series connectors include crimp and insulation displacement connection (IDC) housings. The right angle and vertical headers are available in thru-hole and surface mount (SMT) printed circuit board (PCB) termination styles and include thru-board, free hanging, and dual row configurations. Applicable wire gauges range from 22-30 AWG. The AMP CT series connectors consist of shrouded and unshrouded headers. Both series have locating posts, kinked legs, and solder pads to help provide proper alignment and retention to the PCB.

The HPI (1.0mm to 2.5mm pitch) series includes crimp housings that mate with either right angle or vertical headers. Headers are available in either thru-hole or SMT termination styles. The 2.0mm HPI series offers a latching mechanism for those applications that require additional mating retention. Applicable wire gauges range from 24-32 AWG.

Typical applications for Tyco Electronics' AMP Mini-CT, AMP CT, and HPI series connectors include business equipment, lighting, industrial machines, PCs, printers, air conditioners, and anywhere signal or power is routed.
